Shipping & Returns — At a Glance

  • Most orders, including soaps, skincare, and wax melts, ship within 1–3 business days.

  • USPS Ground Advantage Flat Rate is required for perfume and other alcohol-based products due to postal regulations, with an approximate delivery time of 2–5 business days.

  • Shipping cost is flat rate based on the number of items.

  • All orders include $100 USPS insurance.

  • Orders over $100 require the purchase of additional insurance at checkout.

  • Damaged items? Email us within 24 hours with photos.

  • We do not accept returns on closed, opened, or used items.

  • Need to change or cancel? Contact us within 1 hour of ordering.

🛒 Before You Place Your Order

  • You’ll receive an order confirmation email after placing your order.

  • You’ll get a shipping confirmation email with tracking once your order ships.

  • Please double-check your email and shipping address at checkout.

  • We are not responsible for incorrect or incomplete addresses.

  • Orders are shipped to the exact address entered, and all notifications go to the email you provide.

🕒 Processing Times

  • Orders typically take 1–3 business days to process before shipping.
    Most orders ship within 1–3 business days (Mon–Fri).
    Special orders (like fresh soap or skincare that requires curing) may take up to 4 weeks.
    You’ll be notified when your order is placed and again when it ships.

🚚 Shipping Methods & Rates

  • USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate — usually arrives in 1–3 business days.

  • USPS Ground Advantage Flat Rate — required for perfume and other alcohol-based products due to postal regulations, with an approximate delivery time of 2–5 business days.

Shipping cost is based on how many items are in your order:

  • Orders are packed in the smallest suitable box to keep shipping costs low.

  • Perfume and alcohol-based items must ship via USPS Ground Advantage, per postal regulations.

  • Free shipping is available on orders over $300.00 (U.S. only).

  • ⏱️ Estimated transit time is 2–5 business days after shipping. Delivery times are not guaranteed by USPS.

📍 Where We Ship

We ship anywhere in the U.S., including PO Boxes and remote areas.
International shipping is not available at this time.

🔍 Tracking

You’ll get a tracking number as soon as your package ships.
If it hasn’t arrived within 5 business days, please contact us — we’re here to help.

🛡️ Insurance & Damaged Items

  • All orders include $100 USPS insurance at no extra cost.
    Orders over $100 require the purchase of additional insurance at checkout to ensure full coverage.
    If your order arrives damaged:

  • Do not discard the packaging or items.

  • Take clear photos of the damage and packaging.

  • Email info@ascentalchemy.com within 24 hours of delivery.

  • Include your order number, description of the damage, and photos.

  • Keep all packaging and damaged goods — USPS may require an inspection.
    ⚠️ Claims submitted after 24 hours may not be eligible for replacement or refund.

🔁 Returns & Exchanges

We work hard to get your order to you as quickly as possible! While USPS is generally reliable, occasional delays can happen — especially during holidays, bad weather or unforeseen events. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.

Because our products are handmade in small batches and created for personal use, we’re unable to accept returns on items that have been opened, used, or sealed (this includes skincare, wax melts, and perfumes).

We truly care about your experience and take great pride in the quality and cleanliness of everything we make. Once your order leaves our hands, it goes straight to you — we don’t resell returned items, because your peace of mind and product safety matter to us.

If you have any questions before ordering, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re always happy to help!

✏️ Order Changes or Cancellations

  • If you need to make changes or cancel your order, contact us within 1 hour of placing it.
    Orders are processed quickly, so changes may not be possible after that time.

📬 Lost Packages

  • Once USPS marks a package as “Delivered,” it is considered delivered.
    Please check with neighbors, household members, or your local post office.
    If the package is still missing, contact us and we’ll help you begin a USPS insurance claim.
    Orders include up to $100 in insurance. Additional coverage must be requested at checkout.

Shipping times are not guaranteed. USPS makes every effort to deliver on time, but delays can occur during holidays, bad weather, or other unforeseen events.

🌍 International Shipping

We currently ship within the U.S. only, but we hope to expand soon!
