My name is Liri, and alongside my mom, Nafi, we are the founders and creators behind Ascent Alchemy. We’re both licensed cosmetologists, and I’m also a aromatherapist and herbalist. Our journey into natural skincare comes from deeply personal experience—with acne, sensitive skin, and a shared passion for holistic healing.

Like many others, we struggled with acne from a young age and tried to cover it up with layers of foundation. Despite countless visits to dermatologists and trying all the “best” skincare brands, our skin only worsened. My mom’s tireless research led her to discover a troubling truth: many high-end products were filled with synthetic ingredients that actually triggered her breakouts.

For me, synthetic fragrances caused skin irritation and even nausea. I couldn’t wear perfume and often felt like I had no safe skincare options at all. Frustrated and searching for real answers, I enrolled in an herbal academy program. There, I discovered the healing power of botanicals like calendula and rosehips—and how traditional plant wisdom could guide us back to balance and wellness.

A TURNING POINT IN OUR JOURNEY

Even though I was encouraged to go makeup-free for healthier skin, I felt exposed and self-conscious—especially working in the beauty industry. My skin lacked its natural glow, and I didn’t even recognize myself in the mirror. But something had to change.

Gradually, I let go of mascara, foundation, and lipstick. Over time, my skin began to breathe and heal. Still, I couldn’t find a facial soap that worked for my sensitive skin. That led me to a soap and shampoo making class, where I learned the difference between natural soap and synthetic detergents. But even those handmade bars weren’t right for me—some made my acne worse, and others left my hair in tangles.

I nearly gave up... but I didn’t.

THE BIRTH OF ASCENT ALCHEMY

After years of research, testing, and many failed batches, I finally formulated my own Quadruple Butter Bar—made with non-comedogenic oils and gentle ingredients designed for sensitive, acne-prone skin. It was a breakthrough. My acne scars began to fade, my skin softened, and most importantly, I felt confident in my own skin.

NOW, MY SKINCARE ROUTINE IS SIMPLE:

Cleanse with the Quadruple Butter Bar

Hydrate with a drop of vegetable glycerin on damp skin

Nourish with 1–2 drops of our Raspberry Rose Head-to-Toe Oil

Our face oil smells sweet like candy and is rich in botanical goodness—featuring raspberry seed oil, which may naturally protect your skin from UV rays.

It’s truly all I need—plus a little eyeliner and lip balm—and I’m ready to face the day.

We’re not dermatologists, and we don’t offer miracle cures. But we do believe in the healing power of plants, consistency, and a little self-love. Skin health is holistic—what you eat, how you rest, and what you apply to your skin all work together. Hydrate. Avoid excess sugar, processed foods, and hormone-laden dairy. In the midst of all this healing and discovery, Ascent Alchemy was born.

We now offer a full line of handcrafted castile soap bars, exfoliating coconut sea salt soap bars & quadruple butter soap bars made with organic aloe vera, white kaolin clay, and oatmeal—gentle exfoliants and skin soothers meant for real, everyday skin. Our customers have seen incredible results, and we’re honored to be a part of their journeys.
